Dear EMYR Sailors & EMYR Representatives, 8 EMYR Yachts have arrived safely at Setur Ayvalık Marina where Zafer has organized a day tour and very friendly reception. SY Big Easy Too, second Spanish owned yacht and Cat Twixter were waiting for the Rally fleet at Ayvalık. Port Çeşme Marina was their next port of call. General Manager Can Polat has welcomed the rally yachts. Unfortunately they had to stay one night and continue to Setur Kuşadası Marina on the day after in the morning. Hayal, one of our previous Rally Secretary was also in the Çeşme group to welcome the EMYR sailors. They had a great time at the part that is organized by Port Çeşme Marina. Ayvalık & Çeşme are two beautiful cities on the northern Aegean crowned with two well organized marinas. The managers, Can & Zafer are very well known amongst the sailors as they have operated few other marinas in Turkey. SY Gulchin & Cat Zia have joined the fleet at Çeşme and 12 boats sailed to Kuşadası Marina on 30th April 2008. Setur Kuşadası Marina Manager, Hakan is our representative. SYTapestry, SYNanette, SYTwice Eleven & SY Nirvana II joined the fleet at Kuşadası and they were treated with excellent BBQ as every year. Today, 16 EMYR Boats are sailing to Bodrum D-Marina to meet 7 new EMYR Yachts.
Gonca, the marina operation manager is our representative and General Manager Ali Bezirgan is also an old friend of sailors. The fleet is getting bigger and becomes more difficult for the marina managements at Martı, Göcek, Finike & Kemer. According to our latest records, 7 EMYR yachts will join at Martı Marina
and total 30 EMYR boats will sail to Göcek from Martı Marina. 31 boats will join the fleet at Göcek. Some of the below listed boats are already at Göcek Marina and some of them will arrive at Göcek at the same day. It will be difficult for Marina management to receive many yachts at the same time and it will be easier & better if the below listed yachts arrive at Göcek Marina before 14:00 on 6th May 2008 Tuesday if they are not already in the marina.
Dr. Orhan Yeşilli suggests to buy the below tablets from the chemist – Eczane in Turkey before you leave İskenderun. We may need some of them during the second part of the rally where it will be very hot, the food will be very tasty and you will eat too much. You will be very tired after the day tours and night parties – night passages. And this tablest may help if you have some troubles. My medical explanation will not be enough but I am only trying.
