Dear EMYR Friends, 

You all have heard what is happening in the countries where we have been only one month ago, where we visited and enjoyed meeting their peoples. We enjoyed the many tours, parties and dances with our new local friends. 

Now, because of many different reasons, there is a war again and people are loosing their life’s and all of our friends in those countries are threatened. 

There is nothing we can do to stop the war but we can contact our friends in Israel and Lebanon by e-mail and tell them that we are always thinking of them and we are praying for them. Their e-mail addresses are at the end.

In our countries, we can also forward our comments and concerns to our Prime Ministers, Presidents and other politicians telling them that we were travelling in those countries only a month ago and that the people were living in peace. Now many of them may loose their homes, their livelihoods and even their life’s. Our counties should work harder to bring peace back into the region. 

We hope that humanity will find the way to solve the problem in the Middle East before it is too late.

Chers amis d’Emyr, 

Vous entendez tous parler des evenements qui se deroulent au Moyen-Orient. Nous avons fait escale dans ces pays il y a un mois seulement. Nos nouveaux amis nous ont fait decouvrir leur culture. Nous avons fait la fete et danse avec eux. 

Aujourd’hui, pour differentes raisons, la guerre a repris, causant la mort de nombreuses personnes. Tous nos amis dans ces pays sont en danger. 

Il n’y a rien que nous puissions faire pour stopper la guerre. Nous pouvons neanmoins contacter nos nouveaux amis par e-mail et leur dire que nous pensons a eux et que nous prions pour eux. 

Dans nos pays respectifs, nous pouvons egalement nous adresser a nos gouvernants pour leur faire savoir que nous etions au Moyen-Orient il y a un mois seulement et que ces peuples vivaient en paix. Aujourd’hui malheureusement, nombreux sont ceux qui perdent la vie. Les civilisations du monde entier devraient travailler plus dur pour ramener la paix dans ces regions. 

Nous esperons que l’Humanite trouvera le moyen de resoudre les problemes au Moyen-Orient avant qu’il ne soit trop tard.
