Dear Commodore Teoman and the Rally Committee,
Thank you for your recent e-mail. We participated in the 2004 EMYR with our Surprise. We were 13 crew, not all at the same time but our children with first mates etc and relatives were on board on different legs of the rally. Hasan was very curious about the many people but it worked well; thank you for a very well organized rally. Very many unforgettable memories!

We have had our Surprise in Turkey for many years and now in Greece. We are lucky to sail a boat in Scandinavia as well, so we do not usually want to leave here during the summer, but September, October we think is the best time in the east Med, when it is getting cold and dark in Sweden. Last spring I sailed on a friends boat in the Blue Water Rally from SriLanka over the Indian Ocean to Djibouti and then up the Red Sea to Suez. This spring I plan to sail to Orkney, to Shetland and then to Bergen, Norway and the Norwegian coast up to Lofoten to be there in the midnight sun.

However we often think of the EMYR and would like to join the rally for EMYR 2009. The crew is not decided yet but we hope for our children and perhaps our grandchildren. I enclose some pictures
