Pythagorean Samos Island

Here we are tied to the quay in the picturesque harbour of Pythagorean we had a wonderful sail from Kos averaging nearly 7 knots all the way, 25knts of wind from the west and Mashona loved it.

Whilst we were enjoying the sail we received a VHF call from Kilkea 2 David and Marion our friends from last years rally.

They just thought we might be around so they called on the off chance they were heading for Leros but didn’t take much persuasion to change course and join us.

They stayed with us in Cyprus last year leaving their boat at Delta Marina in the safe hands of Capt. Ilkin and being both keen golfers joined us at the Korinium Golf course for a round.

Mandy and Gwynn our crew who also live in Kibrus and have a house in Lapta cooked the evening meal for the six of us and I must say made an excellent job of it , for a price I will rent them out for dinner parties etc.

We talked ourselves horse catching up with all the news about mutual friends and future plans, and of course having a glass or three of the vino.

They are heading west this year and then an Atlantic crossing so it was really a good to catch up with them who knows when our wakes will cross again.

Tomorrow the weather looks ok so we shall attempt to sail up to Chios I hope we get as good sail as yesterday.
